| Transportation to and from the Airport |
To move from the El Prat airport to the city centre of Barcelona you can choose between three means of transportion: bus, train and taxi.
1. Taxi
The ride in a taxi from the airport to the city, typically costs on average about 25 euros, depending on the amount of luggage and the time of the journey. An average journey, depending on traffic, takes about 25 minutes to Plaça Catalunya. For a taxi ride in Barcelona, you can take it directly from the street because taxies can be easily identified by the green light signal when they are free. | 2. Train
The cost of a trip is 2.20 Euros. The train from the airport is known as "Cercanías Renfe" and has a frequency of every 30 minutes on average. It takes about 25 minutes to the city center of Barcelona and is connected with the Barcelona subway in some of the stops in Barcelona, the most famous of which are "Station Sants and Passeig de Gracia". The train is equipped with screens indicating where the subway connection stops are as well as the other lines of metro and train "Renfe". Working hours are from 6:08 pm, when the first train starts functioning , and a train will pass by every 30 minutes until 23:28 h. The first morning train departs from "Passeig de Gracia station in Barcelona at 5:28 am, followed by another train at 6:02 pm and after this there are departures every 30 minutes until 23:02 h.
3. Airbus (Airport Bus)
The airbus is a bus that goes from the airport to Plaza Catalunya in Barcelona. There are several stops during the trip and it usually takes about 30 minutes all the way to Plaza Catalonia. The timetable from the airport is from 5:30 pm, with departures on average every 10 minutes until 24:30 h. The timetable from Catalonia Plaza is from 6:00 pm, with departures every 10 minutes on average, until 1:00 pm
The price of a trip is 4.25 Euros and 7.30 Euros for a return trip from the terminal 2. To Terminal 1 is 5 euros and 8.65 euros respectively.

Barcelona transport |
To move around in Barcelona, it is advisable to use public transport including tram, metro, bus and train. The first three services can be used with the same card or ticket (a ticket "T10" (10 routes) costs 7.70 Euros. It is a transferable ticket and can be used for any of the three services), the suburban train service "Renfe Cercanías "can be used with the same ticket, but it depends on the area to which you are travelling, in the zone 1 can be used without any problem.
