Please find below the necessary information about how to get from the Prat Airport to Barcelona city center by public transport.

A. Aerobus – Express Bus Service: Express bus service to Barcelona city center from the airport Tel:            (0034) 90 210 0104

The Aerobus service is an express bus service that links Barcelona airport to the city centre. This service normally runs between 6 and 15 minutes within its fixed hours of operation (see official website below for the exact timetable for the Aerobus)

You can catch the Aerobus from outside both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The Aerobus will then take you to the city centre where you can alight either at Placa Espanya or Placa de Catalunya (there are other stops but we recommend you refer to the official Aerobus website – link given below). Tickets to both T1 and T2 cost 5.30 euros for a single and 9.15 euros for a return (return ticket valid for 9 days).

The Barcelona Card (  http://bcnshop.barcelonaturisme.com/ECV2TBCN/Front/BCNShop/Sales/Disponibilitat-Producte/_vf-SMlY1yItM-U_l9RgLJgsyU0uRJi84eUSVL8tyESD9co7LpWdn8TH47EHs0-ZXN1gGgwruG6BigGWPA4Jekce3BB-vYDPVkeEdY6LNPCA ) will entitle you to discount on the tickets for the Aerobus running from both terminals. There is a discount of 20%.

B. Trains From Barcelona Airport

RENFE Train

The RENFE train service runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona airport to the city centre. Travel time approximately 25 minutes.

You can catch the train from Clot, Passeig de Gracia, or Barcelona Sants(otherwise known as Sants Estacio) The name of the stop you want for the airport is Aeropuerto.

If travelling from the airport to the city centre you can get off at Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gracia or Clot which are serviced by metro stops. From these you can change for the Barcelona metro  underground system to go to your final destination.

If you have not bought a T10 ticket and just purchased a normal ticket then you will have to buy another ticket for the change at Estacio Sants Barcelona Sants. If you have a T 10 ticket you can change without paying an additional charge. The metro runs directly from Barcelona Sants station and from Passeig de Gracia.

If you are arriving into Terminal 1, a shuttle bus will take you from outside of the terminal to the train station entrance.

Locations to Purchase Your T10 ticket

You can purchase a T10 ticket from any metro stop or at the entrance to the RENFE train platform at Barcelona Airport.

The Barcelona Card gives you free travel on the RENFE train from the airport to the city centre

Alternatively you can have free travel on the RENFE train from the Airport to Barcelona city centre with the Barcelona Card.

Barcelona Sants station is a major rail station that offers train connections to many other destinations outside Barcelona.

The train will drop you off about 5 minutes walk from the airport main entrance for Terminal 2. If you need to go to Terminal 1, there is a shuttle bus that leaves from directly outside the train station.

Origen – Start station – therefore select Aeropuerto = Airport from the drop down menu

Destino – Destination station – for Barcelona city centre select Barcelona Sants.

Consulta por tipo del dia = select for type of day.

It´s best to ignore this box and just select your chosen date in the box below.

Leave the next few boxes as they are then just click the Horarios button which means Timetable. You will then be presented with a results table showing you the departure times.

The hora Salida is the departure time the hora llegada is the arrival time.

Ticket Price

A single ticket to Sants Station costs 3.15 Euros alternatively you can use the T 10 ticket for your journey to and from the airport to Sants Station. The T10 ticket can also be used for other journeys on the buses and metro.

A word of warning though, it is a favourite spot for professional pick pockets, never put your wallet in your back pocket and don’t leave anything unattended, even for a second. When the sun sets is when Barcelona really comes to life. After a hot day, the boys come out to play! Barcelona’s gay scene is lively and stylish but remember in Spain you don’t go out to eat until 10pm, the bars don’t get going until midnight and the discos don’t even open until 3am, so get some sleep in before you go out because you will be out all night drooling over those gorgeous Catalonian boys.”
”The first thing that is going to hit you when you arrive in Barcelona is the beautiful architecture all around you. Then as you start cruising around, the next thing that is going to knock you off your feet is that those amazing Gaudí creations you’ve seen so much of in photos are standing…….actually I’m not going to tell you where they stand because it will spoil the surprise, but you will be surprised where they are. You’ll know what I’m babbling on about when you see for yourself.
Next you’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how helpful and friendly the people are for a city of it’s size. Whatever your preconceptions are of the Catalonians, they’ll soon melt away as they do their best to make you welcome in their stunningly beautiful city.

The gay area is called L’Eixample or nick named GayEixample and is north-west of the center of town within walking distance but can also be reached by Metro from either the Universitat or Urgell stations. If you get off at Urgell take the Villarroel exit. The gay scene is lively and there’s plenty of variety. Everything you’d expect from a major city’s gay scene but with the added bonus of bronzed Spanish boys all over the place. Eixample is pronounced eye-sham-play.

To top it all off, you have Sitges just down the road which you must check out as well. It’s an easy 35 minute train ride away from Sants train station, or better yet, from Passeig de Gracia station near the gay village.

The best way to see all of the major sites in Barcelona is to take the Tourist Bus (Bus Turistic) from Plaza Catalunya in the center of Barcelona. It’s just 18€ for 1 day or 22€ for 2 consecutive days. There’s 44 stops along the route, and you can get off wherever you like, then hop on one of the next buses that come along. There’s 3 distinct routes, and your ticket covers you for all of them. The north route, south route and Fórum route. Each stop is announced in English, and you’ll find info about each one in the guide they give you. The entire tour of all 3 routes, if you don’t stay at any location, lasts 5 hours.”

Los niños pudieron compartir habitación, y nosotros estuvimos en un apartamento muy cerca de Dexeus, así que todos los días pudimos llegar caminando a visitar a mi padre que estuvo operado en Dexeus. Quisiera darles las gracias a los empleados de Tendency Group que nos trataron como si fuéramos parte de sus familia, nos ayudaron muchísimo durante nuestra estancia y nos acompañaron varias veces a Dexeus, cada vez que lo necesitamos, estuvieron con nosotros.
